Senior Gabby Miller spent her summer using the public relations skills she’d learned in the classroom to help local adults affected by autism. Working together with a team of classmates, she created an integrated marketing communications strategy for Autism Breakthrough of Knoxville, a local autism support organization.
“This is giving me such a better look on the PR profession. It is giving us a look at what our lives can look like outside of school,” Miller told Tennessee Today this summer. “With previous projects, we never seemed to get the full picture, but with this project it has been really interesting to immerse ourselves and feel a little more tied to it.”
